What are Transformative Agreements in Open Access publishing?

Transformative Agreements (or Read and Publish agreements) are contracts between the library and publishers that allow users to read scholarly journals and/or publish their research at no charge. The cost to read and publish research is included in the subscription paid by the library or institution.
Rowland Medical Library currently has five agreements.
These publishers are:
- BMJ Case Reports
- Cambridge University Press
- Company of Biologist
- Elsevier
- Springer Nature
