How do I find registered systematic review protocols?

Answer

PROSPERO

PROSPERO aims to provide a comprehensive listing of systematic reviews registered at inception to help avoid duplication and reduce the opportunity for reporting bias by enabling comparison of the completed review with what was planned in the protocol. It accepts registrations for systematic reviews, rapid reviews, and umbrella reviews. PROSPERO does not accept scoping reviews or literature scans. Accepts protocols relevant to health and social care, welfare, public health, education, crime, justice, and health-related international development.

Cochrane Protocols

The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR) is a leading resource for systematic reviews in health care. CDSR includes peer-reviewed systematic reviews and protocols.

Select the Cochrane Protocols tab from the the Cochrane Reviews (CDSR) section

JBI

JBI's evidence-based practice resources assist healthcare professionals in implementing an effective evidence-based practice program to provide the best possible patient care.

Select Systematic Review Protocols from the Publication Types drop-down menu.

JBI Systematic Review Register

Registration of a systematic review title on the JBI website is to promote collaboration between affiliated entities via highlighting current work to other JBI review authors and to recognize that the registered topic is currently in development to avoid any unintended and/or unnecessary duplication of research effort.

PubMed

The PubMed database contains more than 37 million citations and abstracts of biomedical literature. A research team may publish a protocol in an indexed journal.

Campbell

A list of registered titles for systematic reviews or evidence and gap maps that have been accepted by the Editor of a Campbell Coordinating Group. When titles progress to the protocol stage, the protocol is published in the Campbell Systematic Reviews journal.
